Beaches & Bays

Explore 26 miles of glorious coastline

The Isle of Thanet has some 26 miles of coastline with many coves and safe, sandy beaches. From May to September the main beaches are cleaned regularly and water quality monitored. During the season, dog bans are observed on the most popular beaches, and lifeguards are on duty. Many of the bays offer a wide range of supporting facilities.

The columns below provides details of all the bays and the facilities they offer, plus links to photographs, maps, coastal walks and other information - or use the links below to go straight to the beach of your choice.
